for immediate release - July 1, 2002 Rainbow Hunter Exhibition by David Allio CompletedLAS VEGAS -- In a modern twist on the Expressionist style, the artworks in the "Rainbow Hunter" exhibition contain bright colored and metallic backgrounds to enhance the silver metallic nude figure of model Leigh Hunter. Although not as unreal as the artworks of the early 20th Century Expressionist movement in Germany or the more recent Abstract Expressionist movement outside Europe, the artworks of this exhibition reflect the boldness of the Expressionist concept. "As I viewed the original photographs, I was inspired by the Expressionist works of Dutch artist Willem deKooning and German artist Franz Marc," Allio said. "It is a creative reach to take a realistic photograph and attempt an artwork in a style that has roots in Surrealism, and I am just starting to stretch my talents against those creative boundaries." Each of the ten images in this exhibition have a different primary splash of color, hence the title of the collection. The primary color compliment the various silver shades of nude figure model Leigh Hunter. David Allio was born in 1955 in the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Communications and Visual Arts. His fine art nudes have been exhibited worldwide. - 02DA0701.HTM | July 1, 2002 - | MainMenu | - | Press Information Index | Contact | www.DavidAllio.com | © 2002-2009 David Allio - All Rights Reserved |
