for immediate release - April 1, 2004 New Exhibition Entitled "Graces in Motion" by David AllioATLANTA -- "Graces in Motion" was inspired by the mythological Three Graces - Greek goddesses of Thalia (flowering), Euphrosyne (joy) and Aglaia (beauty). Traditionally portrayed as dancing in celebration, these companions of Aphrodite were ambasadors of grace and beauty to mortals and divinities. "These images were very important to me," Allio explained. "The concept of working with three models is a geometrically greater challenge than a single model. The difficulty of this series of images was then compounded by the creative decision to use a slow shutter speed as the models moved." In these images, the daughters of Zeus and Eurynome were portrayed in motion by Atlanta nude figure models Liz, Oni and Joy. Oni is a professional nude figure model, while girlfriends Liz and Joy enjoy the simple pleasure of frolicking in the nude. All original images were created in Joy's Garden with a Nikon professional digital camera and lenses. The exposures were made outdoors using existing evening light. Professional photographer David Allio was born in 1955 in the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Communications and Visual Arts. His fine art nude figures have been exhibited in celebarated art galleries around the world. - 04DA0701.HTM | July 1, 2004 - | MainMenu | - | Press Information Index | Contact | www.DavidAllio.com | © 2004-2009 David Allio - All Rights Reserved |
