Less than one week after being asked to submit a group of images for annual exhibition on the Photoimagination web site, a Fine Art Nude image created by professional photographer and digital artist David Allio was selected to be Picture of the Day. The image is to be presented on the Canadian-based web site today, Monday, April 10.

The announcement was received as an e-mail message from the webmaster, "One of your pictures will be the picture of the day on April 10. Invite your friends and local medias to visit the site. Regards, Louis-Marie"

Artist Allio had to wait until today to see, along with everyone else, which image was selected. An image entitled "Violet Mist" from the "Mountain Waters" exhibition was the choice of Photoimagination. The model, Susan, is also this month's featured model on the Allio Erotic Art web site hosted by Lycos, Italy.

"Based on the original announcement, I didn't even know which image or which model was selected," Allio admitted. "The original exhibition consisted of six images, and six different models, created over the past four years. I'm pleased to have one of my images honored in this way."

Allio is a graduate of the University of Virginia. He currently maintains a studio presence in Wise, Virginia, Spartanburg, South Carolina and Atlanta, Georgia.
