January 1, 2001 - for immediate release Reclining Goddesses are Subject of New Digital Art Exhibition The reclining nude has been a primary figure in drawings and paintings through the history of art. Each of these images was inspired by an international legend of a spirit or goddess. "Although these images were influenced primarily by the styles of various French Impressionism artists, I took creative liberties to also include more romantic and modern treatments," Allio explained. "Most of the images in this exhibition were created in outdoor settings with rocks and water - a personal style preference." Nine wonderfully creative models posed as the original subjects for the ten images of this exhibition. Seven of the ten images were created from original color photography. The other three digital artworks were hand-colored from black-and-white originals. 01DA0101.HTM - © 2001-2008 David Allio - All Rights Reserved |
