SPARTANBURG, SC - Professional photographer David Allio added 37 new awards to his already impressive list of achievements in 1997. All of these awards were for images presented on the Internet.

Topping the list of 1997 honors was an award from an Italian gallery for creative photography for one of the images from his Portraits of Lisa Collection. Allio's web site also earned several "Site of the Day" and "Site of the Week" honors.

"I have been amazed at how much my images are appreciated on the Internet," Allio said. "Based on these awards and the resulting e-mail, it seems that there is a great demand for the type of fine art nudes that I have created, especially in Europe."

In addition to the 1997 Internet awards, Allio's digitally enhanced images were also been selected for special exhibitions in the United States and several European nations. Requests are backlogged for 1998 showings.

"Most awards are too subjective to suit me," Allio said. "But, this outpouring of interest indicates that at least someone is taking notice of my work!"
