ALLIO HONORED AS
MODERN EROTIC ARTIST

David Allio has been selected by Lycos, Italy, as one of the top four modern erotic artists/photographers in the world. This November, 1999, selection was based on portfolio images of various nude figure models.

"This is a wonderful international recognition of my nude figure artworks," Allio, a professional photographic artist said. "If there is irony in this modern artist honor, it comes from the fact that most of my artistic influences - especially when artistic nudity is involved - are from classic historic artworks and artists from centuries past."

According to Tatiana Tartuferi, Editor, Lycos Bertelsmann, "Allio's work represents a great mix of traditional influences in modern artistic techniques."

The first artwork selected for exhibition by Lycos, Italy, was created in a studio on color negative film using a Minolta camera and lens. Then, the image was digitally enhanced. The subject was an amateur nude figure model from the United States.
