LIHUE HI - The Garden Island of Kauai was named as Hawaii's Best Island in the 2006 Reader's Survey of World's Best Islands by Travel + Leisure magazine. Kauai's tropical splendor makes the island a must-see destination for both amateur and professional photographers.

Kauai finished ahead of the Hawaiian island of Maui and in second position worldwide behind the island of Bali in the annual T+L reader's popularity poll. The big island of Hawaii also cracked the top ten in the annual ranking.
