Yellow-fringed Orchid Platanthera ciliaris is native to eastern North America. Also known as Orange-fringed Orchid, this orange wildflower is threatened or endangered in ten states. This specimen was found near milepost 221 of the Blue Ridge Parkway in Alleghany County, North Carolina.
