Autumn at Whitewater Falls in the Appalachian Mountains can be colorful. At a combined total of over 800 feet, Whitewater Falls in the Jocassee Gorge on the North Carolina and South Carolina border is reported as the tallest waterfall east of the Rocky Mountains.1
