Echinacea purpurea | ©2014 David Allio
Eastern Purple Coneflower Echinacea purpurea has been found to be an immune system booster and combatant against bacterial and viral infections. Popularity of Echinacea purpurea as an herbal remedy has resulted in this species becoming increasingly rare in its natural habitat. Although Echinacea purpurea may be found in Vermont and New Hampshire, its natural habitat does not extend into the extreme north east.1
