According to autismspeaks.org, "Each April 2, Autism Speaks celebrates Light It Up Blue along with the international autism community, in commemoration of the United Nations-sanctioned World Autism Awareness Day. Light It Up Blue is a unique global initiative that kicks-off Autism Awareness Month and helps raise awareness about autism. In honor of this historic day, many iconic landmarks, hotels, sporting venues, concert halls, museums, bridges and retail stores are among the thousands of buildings lit blue to raise autism awareness."

This visual artwork was created as an original digital photograph of High Roller, the world’s tallest observation wheel. High Roller is one of many landmarks in Las Vegas, Nevada, to go blue on this evening for autism awareness.

At 550 feet, the High Roller opened to the public today in Las Vegas as the World’s Tallest Ferris Wheel. Located near Flamingo Road and Las Vegas Boulevard, construction on the High Roller required over two years for completion. A ride in one of the 28 forty-passenger pods takes about 30 minutes. At night, the circular structure is illuminated by an ever-changing chromatic light show.

This visual artwork was created by panning the lights of the wheel against the backdrop of hotels on the Fabulous Las Vegas Strip.

“Pruning” by poet Michael Moore
Will we ever realize that all leaves are perfect? It’s finding the true value of those irregular leaves that counts. They serve a purpose by helping the plants and trees to utilize the sun’s energy for growth. We usually ignore or reject them through the use of our emotional pruning shears. Might their true value be the very key to our own awakening to unconditional love and self-awareness?
