South of the prairie community of Rugby, North Dakota, and east of the junction of highways US 2 and ND 3 – the geographic center of North America as determined by the US Geological Survey in 1931 – is the 88.5-foot multi-colored steel structure and roadside attraction Northern Lights Tower.
