Warm Ice Conasauga Falls Waterfall Series

Conasauga Falls is a mossy multi-tiered waterfall on Conasauga Creek in the Hiwasee Ranger District of the Cherokee National Forest in Monroe County near Tellico Plains, Tennessee. Segments of open drops and natural sluiceways disperse across the rock face encased in elbow-deep moss for a visual cacophony of natural diversity. Each element is an inviting yet independent composition, related yet wholly unrepresentative of the greater waterfall.

Appearing as icicles in the summer, clear water may provide an illusion of oxymoronic Warm Ice. This composition depicts a two-foot drop of moving water from a moss-encased ledge following a downstream pathway.
