By definition, a Flowering Dogwood Cornus florida has four bracts. This unusual Red Dogwood caught my attention outside Piedmont Baptist Church (@piedmontbc) following Easter Sunday services. It has the traditional four colored bracts subtending the perfect flower, a short stem, plus two more bracts for a total of six red bracts.
