Spotted Wintergreen Chimaphila maculata blooms and fruits on the woodland floor of Jefferson National Forest in Scott County Virginia. This evergreen also known as Striped Princes Pine or Dragons Tongue, native to eastern North America, is listed as endangered in Illinois and Maine.1
