Hillman Bridge – Americana Collection

Rusted overhead lattice stringers meet at a common point with a steel upright on the Hillman Bridge. The Pratt Truss designed bridge spans the Suwannee River in Ellaville, Florida. Built in 1925-1926 by the RHH Blackwell Company to connect Madison and Suwannee Counties, the 916 foot bridge was abandoned sixty years later. The former US Route 90 bridge is now an artifact in the Suwannee River State Park.
